What is Sunshine Coast Open House?
Sunshine Coast Open House is a free community event, which provides visitors with the rare opportunity to tour architecturally diverse, well-designed, sustainable and historic buildings across the region. The sixth annual Sunshine Coast Open House will be held on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October 2025 and will feature a range of historic and contemporary buildings from Caloundra to Cooran, from the beach to the Hinterland.
Sunshine Coast Open House is part of the Open House Worldwide network, founded by Open House London in 1992 and now in 45+ cities around the world.

Sunshine Coast Open House 2025 is being staged on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October 2025.
Do I need to book to attend Sunshine Coast Open House?
Some buildings participating in Sunshine Coast Open House weekend do not require bookings. You simply turn up during the advertised opening hours on Saturday 18 and/or Sunday 19 October. Some buildings will offer pre-booked tours. Online bookings open will open in early October 2025.
Please note that some buildings may be popular and may have queues.
Does it cost to attend Sunshine Coast Open House?
No – Sunshine Coast Open House weekend is a free event for all.

The Sunshine Coast Open House 2024 Guide Book is available to download HERE. The SCOH 2025 Guide Book will be available to download in September 2025.
How do I volunteer for Sunshine Coast Open House?
Sunshine Coast Open House invites you to join our team of volunteers in 2025! Sunshine Coast Open House volunteers will be integral to the event’s success. Volunteers will be assigned to one of the participating buildings and provide support by welcoming visitors, assisting with check-in, managing tour groups or lines, and acting as a representative of Sunshine Coast Open House. Volunteer for one shift (typically three to four hours) and receive a limited edition Sunshine Coast Open House tote bag.
