Saltair Modular invites you on a full factory tour of its modular building facility. Enjoy seeing a number of buildings in various stages of construction, through to completed displays.

Saltair Modular is Queensland’s most awarded modular builder. From contemporary hinterland residences to modern urban homes, Saltair has won the HIA’s ‘Innovation in Housing’ Award on the Sunshine Coast for the last seven years in a row. Modular home construction has been around for decades and is a prominent form of house construction in Northern Europe and Northern America. However, it is not well understood in Australia, where it only makes up less than 5% of residential builds.

Saltair Modular welcomes the opportunity to open its doors to Sunshine Coast Open House visitors and provide tours of its new home manufacturing facility in Coolum. Visitors will be able to ‘experience’ the many stages of building construction, from floor bases through to completed homes. Saltair Modular’s motto is ‘redefining the way you build’. Their in-house team of architects and building designers are capable of standard or custom designs from scratch, and also regularly work with a client’s architect to efficiently modularise their designs.

Through factory-controlled quality management, modular building is able to substantially reduce construction times and material wastage. Combined with a light footprint and less than 20% of works occurring on site, the whole modular process offers a highly sustainable solution to many of the current challenges facing the building and development environment.
